Cyber Risks: Prevention & Mitigation in a Technological World
In today’s digital world, cybersecurity is a top priority for executives. A single cyber-attack can result in reputational damage, loss of clients, revenue loss, penalties and legal fees. With an alarming number of cybersecurity threats, organizations are searching for defenses to help safeguard their information.
During this seminar, GEB and P&N will discuss the risks companies face as well as proactive insurance and technological solutions.
This event is presented free of charge, and qualifies for 1.5 hours of CPE. Breakfast and registration begin at 8:30 am, with the seminar beginning at 9:00 am.
Our Presenters:
Jeff Howard, ERM | Vice President, Gillis, Ellis & Baker
Jeff joined the GEB team in 2011. He works with both personal lines and commercial property & casualty clients, where he specializes in the identification and management of accounts' complex environmental exposures. Jeff earned the Environmental Risk Management (ERM) designation through the University of Houston's Environmental Risk Strategies Institute, and has completed the National Alliance School for Producer Development. Prior to GEB, Jeff worked at Ernst & Young, LLP. He is a graduate of the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.
Jacob Goodson, CISA, CISM, CRISC | Associate Director of Cybersecurity & Forensics, P&N
Jacob Goodson, CISA, CISM, CRISC is the Associate Director of Cyber Security and Forensics with P&N. He has been with the firm since December of 2016. Jacob is an accomplished well-seasoned IT and Cyber Security professional with over 15 years of experience providing both government agencies and varied private sector companies with IT security consulting coupled with advanced IT and Cyber Security design and implementation services.
Woodie Van Horn, CIC | Vice President, Gillis, Ellis & Baker
Woodie has been with Gillis, Ellis & Baker since 2003, joining the agency after graduation from the University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Woodie advises clients that range from large, complex commercial property & casualty accounts, historic properties and contractual and cyber liability issues, to personal insurance. Woodie has completed the National Alliance School for Producer Development and has earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
