Coffee & Community is a Young Professionals event, which connects Young Professionals to community leaders and provides informational sessions about issues that impact their region.

Our Jefferson Chamber Young Professionals will hear from Councilman Scott Walker this month. He was elected to the Jefferson Parish Council in October 2019, winning 56% of the Parishwide vote. As a political newcomer and former TV news anchor, Councilman Walker made waves in the Parish by spending less than $100,000 on his successful campaign. His campaign focused on open, honest and transparent government with a pledge to be accountable to those who put him in office – the people of Jefferson Parish.  Councilman Walker believes in using technology to make government more efficient and helping build a Jefferson Parish of the future where generations to come can thrive in a “live, work, play” environment.
