The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission & the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to help you navigate the hiring and firing process. In this month’s installment of Prosper Jefferson, three experts will cover a variety of issues related to Human Resources, including:

Meet our Speakers:
- Chris Cole
Kelly Services- Chris grew up in the Mid City New Orleans. He graduated from Jesuit High School then received his degree in Advertising from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and moved to Chicago. His experience in training, sales and management extends over 13 years. He has been involved in hiring and evaluating employees for over 7 years. His previous positions include Area Recruiter and Regional Director of Recruiting and HR. Chris currently holds the position of Area Sales Manager with Kelly Services. Kelly Services provided employment to 550,000 employees in 2015.
Chris has been involved in local chambers since 2009 when he moved back to New Orleans from Chicago. He is an Ambassador for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Jefferson Young Professionals and Jefferson Chamber. Chris is a mentor for the Loyola University College of Business Executive Mentorship Program. He is President of Celebration Toastmasters and Director of Area 13 for Toastmasters. Chris recently accepted the role of Education Coordinator for his Business Networking International Chapter.

Delta Personnel- Jodee P. Carpenter - HR Manager, Delta Administrative Services a Professional Employer Organization (employee leasing) for the last 8 ½ years. Come with over 10 years of experience in the HR field. Has a team of HR Generalists and HR Assistants who work with ensuring clients are compliant in all facets of human resources from hiring/on-boarding to final separation. Background is in the Oilfield Services Industry on the private sector side. Graduated with a BS in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources. Number one goal is to ensure our clients have the best representation and training in HR practices at all levels of the organization. Enjoys the face to face interaction with our clients and their employees.

- From the East Bank take Huey P. Long Bridge
- Stay in left lane as you cross HPL. After crossing HPL continue going south in the left lane of Hwy 90 for about 2 miles and turn left at signal light, onto Lapalco Blvd.
- Travel east about 2 miles on Lapalco Blvd., at the next signal light, turn right onto Nicolle Blvd.
- Continue about ¼ mile; on your left you will see the Patrick F. Taylor Academy School and “Churchill Technology and Business Park” ….. turn left into the park. The JEDCO Conference Center will be on your left. It is an orange and gray building that sits in front of the Patrick F. Taylor Science and Technology Academy.
