April Catarella, Gambel Communications
With a background in marketing, communications and non-profit management, April brings a diverse set of skills to Gambel Communications clients.
April has taken a leadership role in social media strategy for Gambel Communications. A strong advocate of professional development she attended a nationally recognized Social Media Conference in fall of 2022 to further develop her skills and understanding of this constantly changing resource for our clients.
April is a Board Member and Vice President of Communications of American Marketing Association New Orleans. She is an active member of the Jefferson Chamber Education and Workforce Development Committee. April also volunteers her time as a Board Member for Swollfest Fishing Rodeo which is held in Grand Isle, LA every June and benefits children’s charities and military families.
An avid sports fan, April began her career working in minor league sports. First, for the Louisiana IceGators, a minor league hockey team in Lafayette, and then for the Montgomery Biscuits, the double-A baseball affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays in Montgomery, Alabama. April led a wide array of marketing and communications strategies including fan entertainment, community relation and social media.
Wishing to return home to the New Orleans area, April later joined the Muscular Dystrophy Association where she served as Executive Director for almost ten years. Her role included public relations, executing special events and developing client relationships throughout the state of Louisiana.
April also served as the Communications Manager for Einstein Charter Schools in New Orleans where she aided in branding and communications strategies as the charter network opened three new schools over two years.
April graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. While attending LSU, April proudly served as a Batgirl for the LSU Baseball program and worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Outside of the office, you can find April strolling through City Park with her dog Murphy, dancing to live music at every festival or watching LSU and Saints games.

Jeff Januszek is the founder of PERK Social Media, a New Orleans-based social media agency.
For 17 years Jeff was a successful morning radio host, waking up audiences on a daily basis. As social media was born, Jeff learned how to use new channels like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to create content and conversations that connected with fans.
In 2014, Jeff moved to New Orleans, founding "Jeff Januszek Social Media." As social media for business and brands became a must, the company grew. Now known as PERK Social Media, Jeff and his New Orleans-based team work with clients to grow their businesses with consistent and creative social media strategies.
PERK Social Media connects clients with their target audience through thumb-stopping content, personality-driven engagement, and effective ad strategy for clients like Fleurty Girl, The Benson Automotive Group, Tulane, InclusivCare, and many more.
