For our last Prosper Jefferson seminar of the year, JEDCO and the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to bring you a seminar all about Strategic Planning. Thomas Aleman, Chief Administrator Officer at OnPath Federal Credit Union and Suzi Swoop O' Brien, Chief Executive Officer at Peoples Health will help get you organized, balanced, and focused on the future as we head into 2024.
Meet the speakers:
Thomas Aleman, Chief Administrator Officer, OnPath Federal Credit Union
Thomas Aleman, a New Orleans native, joined OnPath as the SVP of Growth in 2022 tasked with developing the credit union’s team members, advancing the products, and increasing revenue. Thomas currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer overseeing Strategic Planning, Special Projects, Product Profitability, Training, and Human Resources. Thomas comes from Corporate One FCU, a $6B corporate credit union, where he was the AVP of Key Accounts. Thomas specialized in providing consultative solutions to credit union leadership across the country to help them achieve their strategic goals. For over 8 years before joining Corporate One, Thomas was a regional director of a non-interest income & non-interest expense consulting firm also specializing in strategic planning. He was also a licensed relationship banker with JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA in New Orleans for 4 years and a teller for Whitney National Bank before that. Thomas is dedicated to OnPath’s growth and helping the team achieve their strategic goals. He is an avid dog lover, Mardi Gras goer, and enjoys playing kickball.
Suzi Swoop O'Brien, Chief Executive Officer, Peoples Health
O’Brien has devoted her career almost exclusively to the local health care market, affording her the in-depth knowledge and unique perspective that she brings to her position. She has been an employee of Peoples Health for 25 years and has held several managerial roles within the company. Her most recent role was chief operating officer. In this position, O’Brien was responsible for directing the activities of various departments—including claims, systems operations, appeals and grievances, provider affiliations, and member services—to streamline technologically-advanced processes while exceeding regulatory mandates.
O’Brien earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce and business from the University of Alabama, where she majored in health care management. She currently represents Peoples Health as a member of the Louisiana Association of Health Plans and America’s Health Insurance Plans. She also serves on the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and dedicates additional time to serving local nonprofit organizations.
