Sipping with Santa

Join Mayor Mike Glaser and Chief Keith Conley for a great time and some holiday cheer as we join together to support the City of Kenner Food Bank during its busiest time of year! 

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, we are hosting our Annual Sipping with Santa cocktail party fundraiser for the City of Kenner Food Bank. We’re proud to feature holiday flavored martinis and cocktails, assorted wines,
hors d’oeuvres, pictures with Santa, and a Santa’s Secret Shopping Village. 
Our goal this year is to surpass our totals from years in the past as this is our first Sipping with Santa since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. We are excited to be back! The Kenner Food Bank serves over 1,000 families
each month and the numbers are steadily increasing as we face difficult economic times. One in every five children in Louisiana is food deprived. As of now, the Food bank has had to reduce its number of families
served during the holiday season. In past years, the food bank assisted approximately 750 families annually
with holiday food baskets– this year the number of families anticipated to be served has been reduced to 300. Unsure of whether or not they will have enough food to last through December 2023 and definitely unsure as
to what nutritional items will be suppled in the coming months.
