The BuildStrong Academy of Greater New Orleans (Powered by HBI) was established to help build the next generation of construction skilled trades workers for the building industry. It was founded by Brittany and Drew Brees and the Brees Dream Foundation in collaboration with the BuildStrong Academy. The Academy operations are provided and managed by HBI (Home Builders Institute).
The BuildStrong Academy of Greater New Orleans is a tuition-free program that is open to anyone 18 years or older who is interested in construction trades training, such as carpentry for example. There is a high demand for trained skilled workers in construction in our area.
Our goal is to get our students trained for and employed in the skilled trades industry in the Greater New Orleans area.
